Aman, a recognized lawyer for his innovative ways and track record of more than 25 years’ in providing quality legal service, is the Managing Partner at Aman & Partners LLP. With depth of experience in academia, judiciary and corporate private practice, Aman’s expertise include corporate law, M&A (including private equity practice), anti-trust and banking, and infrastructure and projects. Aman holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Bahakal is a seasoned corporate lawyer with 15 years of legal experience under his belt. Formerly a lecturer, in-house legal counsel and legal practitioner, Bahakal is skilled in investment and regulatory matters, M&A (including privatization and liberalizations), commercial contracts, public procurement, energy, project finance and arbitration. Bahakal holds an LL.M (with distinction) in Int. Economic & Business Law (IEBL) from the University of Groningen (the Netherlands); LL.M in Int. Dispute Settlement Law from the Graduate Institute (Geneva) and is a recipient of Chancellor’s Gold Medal from Haramaya University, Law School.

Ermias, a former Assistant Professor in law with over 15 years’ , has experience in academia and private practice in areas such as litigation, corporate law, ADR, construction and procurement laws, oil and gas as well as maritime laws. Ermias has appeared before the Permanent Court of Arbitration and has published extensively in different areas of laws. Ermias, obtained his LL. M in International Trade and Investment Laws from the University of Pretoria and the University of Amsterdam and his LL. B from the Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Micael holds Master of Law and Business (MLB) from Hamburg, Germany and LLM in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration (MIDS) in Geneva, Switzerland. A Recipient of the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 2008 from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Tilahun holds a PhD from Monash University, Australia, an LL.M in International Trade and Investment Law from the University of Pretoria and American University Washington College of Law and his LL.B (great distinction) from Bahir Dar University. He obtained a certificate in International Legal Studies from American University.

Hana, formerly in-house legal counsel at a major international investment company and a researcher at government organizations has more than 10 years of extensive experience on legal and multidisciplinary matters.   Hana was member of an international negotiation team in connection with the cross-border Petroleum Pipeline Development Agreement and Joint Operating Agreement for the country’s one and only petroleum production project to date. She contributed to drafting the Gas Commercialization and Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements as well as taking part in the negotiations on the implementation of the Production Sharing Agreements. She has also participated in reviewing the draft Mining and Petroleum Proclamations and Policies. Her expertise includes areas such as legal drafting and negotiation, research, legal opinions, legal compliance, project financing, procurement, ADR, litigation, investment, oil and gas, mining, and environmental laws. Hana holds an MA and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (with Distinction) from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Before his current role, Sintayehu worked as an in-house counsel for an impact investment firm, where he provided advice on matters such as investment, tax, labor, contract, and company laws. In addition, his prior experience involves supporting and building the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Ethiopia. Sintayehu has also a good deal of experience in supporting various investment and development activities across the African continent.

Wubedel has gained invaluable experiences working for a Commodity Exchange, an airliner, a diplomatic mission, international development organizations, and a private management consulting firm. Wubedel holds a Bachelor of Art in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University and an MBA from University of Reading, Henley Business School, UK and she was awarded for her “Significant Contribution to the MBA Programme”.

Aweke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Addis Ababa University College of Commerce and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from HiLCoE School of Computer Science & Technology College and is currently working towards his ACCA accountancy qualifications.

Atsede, is the firm’s Finance Manager in charge of all financial functions within the firm. She has over 6 years of extensive experience as an accountant. Yoseph received his LLB from Mekelle University and is currently pursuing his LLM in Business Law at Addis Ababa University. He received credentials from WIPO in the areas of Intellectual Property and Arbitration and Mediation, as well as a certificate from China Intellectual Property (SIPO) in the area of Chinese Intellectual Property laws.
